We’re excited to share that our Theatre team is now using the Hologic Trident® HD Specimen Radiography System — a game-changer for breast cancer surgery at The Bays.
This cutting-edge imaging technology allows breast surgeons to X-ray tissue samples right in the operating theatre, enabling precise tumour removal while preserving healthy tissue. It also speeds up recovery and shortens the time under anaesthesia, resulting in even better patient care.
“This is a huge advancement,” says breast surgeon Dr Tristan Leech. “It improves outcomes and we’re incredibly grateful to the community for making it possible.”
