Day infusion and chemotherapy service

Our care goes beyond the administration of chemotherapy

Our Day Infusion Service provides chemotherapy for oncology patients and infusion services for non-malignant conditions including blood, iron and other infusion therapies for privately insured or self-funded patients.

Located in Mornington, our service is convenient for the whole Peninsula community to access.

Day Infusion Unit

Our purpose-designed Day Infusion Unit treats patients in spacious and modern treatment areas that are bathed in natural light with large windows.

Treatment bays are spacious with options of private or shared areas. Each bay features a comfortable reclining treatment chair within a calming environment, and there is a bed available for patients to use if they are feeling unwell. The unit also has a consulting room for patients to meet with their specialist in absolute privacy when necessary.

Family or supportive friends are encouraged to accompany patients for their treatment, however we also have iPads available for watching television, movies or listening to music. We also provide complimentary access to wireless internet.

Our on-site chefs prepare a variety of fresh catering options, which are delivered to the unit daily. Please advise us if you have special dietary requirements. Our cafe is open (Monday–Saturday) for accompanying visitors.

Our infusion service operates from Monday to Friday, primarily providing treatments like:

  • chemotherapy
  • iron infusions
  • blood and blood product transfusions
  • specialist drug infusions

Treatment times can vary according to the type of treatment you will receive. It is advisable to wear loose, comfortable clothing when you come for your treatment.

Please ensure you follow your doctor’s instructions regarding any medications you may need to take prior to your first visit. You are able to eat and drink normally before chemotherapy, unless you have been instructed otherwise.
