Visitor information

The Bays Hospital is located on Vale Street in Mornington.
Melways Ref: 104 E12

Visitors are welcome.

We encourage patient rest time from 1.00pm–2.30pm and limit visitors during this time.

Please be mindful that late evening and long visits may be tiring for patients.

If you are planning to visit a relative who is being cared for in our Intensive Care Unit, we advise you check with us first. Please note: we limit two visitors at a time in this area.

We are committed to preventing the spread of infection at The Bays. You can help us by:

  • using the alcohol based hand rubs located throughout the hospital
  • not visiting patients if you feel unwell with fever, cough, cold/flu, nausea/vomiting, diahorrea, or have been in contact with someone who has an infectious disease.

What not to bring

Due to infection control risk, please do not bring the following items to the hospital:

  • Potted plants
  • Latex (rubber) balloons

Cut flowers and foil (mylar) balloons are welcome.

The Bays provides free car parking for all patients, visitors and staff. The main entrance car park is located via Vale Street. There is a convenient drop off turning circle located at the main hospital entrance. Disabled car parking is available close to the main hospital entrance in the Vale Street car park, and also in the consulting suite car park (entry off Main Street).

A few car parking spaces have been reserved for our doctors. Please do not leave your car unattended in our turning circle or park in our doctor car parks. Our doctors may need quick access in the case of medical emergencies.
