The Bays Hospital is located on Vale Street in Mornington.

Visitor requirements
Please don’t attend the hospital if you have a cold, cough, fever, nausea/vomiting, diarrhoea, or have been in contact with someone who has an infectious disease.
Hospital visiting hours
We offer flexible visiting hours, but also acknowledge the need for patients to have sufficient rest periods during their stay.
Some of our wards may work with family members in relation to the appropriate management of visitors, with this determined by patient condition, for example, our High Dependency Unit and Maternity Unit.
Children visiting should be supervised by an adult at all times for their own safety and that of other visitors, staff and patients.
Patients have the right to refuse to see any visitor and this will be supported by our nursing staff.
Visitors are required to abide by the expectations of entry requirements.
What not to bring
Due to infection control risk, please do not bring the following items to the hospital:
- Potted plants
- Latex (rubber) balloons
Cut flowers and foil (mylar) balloons are welcome.
Parking
We provide free car parking for all patients, visitors and staff.
Our main entrance car park is located via Vale Street and features a convenient drop-off turning circle. Please do not leave your car unattended in our turning circle.
Disabled car parking is available close to the main hospital entrance in the Vale Street car park.
A few car parking spaces have been reserved for our doctors. Please do not park in our doctor car parks, as our doctors may need quick access in the case of medical emergencies.
Parking for Peninsula Gastroenterology patients
There is car parking available in the Elizabeth Street staff car park for Peninsula Gastroenterology patients. These spaces are well-signed.
Staff parking
Staff and doctor parking is provided at the rear of the hospital (entry via Elizabeth Street).
Gift shop
Our Gift Shop is located on the ground floor, in the atrium en route to our hospital wards. There is a variety of lovely gifts, cards and hand -made crafts available for purchase. There are also some toiletries and personal items for patients to purchase.
Staffed by hospital volunteers, the gift shop is popular with our staff and hospital visitors and all proceeds go to The Bays.
Wheelchair access
Our hospital’s main reception entrance at Vales Street and the Main Street entrance to our consulting suites both provide for easy wheelchair access to the hospital. Lifts are located to upper levels to access consulting suites and wards.
Disabled car parks are clearly labelled in our main hospital car park at Vale Street and also some are reserved in our consulting suite car park entrance off Main Street.
Public transport
The following Peninsula bus services stop at the Main Street side of the hospital:
- 785 from Frankston Railway Station via Mornington East
- 781 from Frankston Railway Station via Mt Eliza
