There was a very special arrival at The Bays this month, with Coolart Ward Nurse Unit Manager Bronwyn Ruthven welcoming her first baby, Theodore “Teddy” Ruthven, on 4 May at The Bays Hospital.

Born weighing 2.7kg, Teddy arrived just in time for Bron to celebrate her very first Mother’s Day as a mum, making an already special occasion even more memorable for the new family of three.

Teddy has already been showered with love from proud parents Bron and Lyle, along with their extended family and Bays colleagues.

For Bron, giving birth at the hospital where she works made the experience even more meaningful, with familiar faces and supportive colleagues by her side throughout the journey into parenthood.

“Our experience of becoming first time parents was so lovely,” Bron said. “From Emily and Keith to all the midwives, everyone went above and beyond for us and made us feel so loved and comforted. Looking forward to starting our new adventure as a family of three!”

Bron and Teddy were cared for by obstetrician Dr Emily Fiske, paediatrician Dr Keith Badloo, and The Bays maternity team.

We warmly congratulate Bron, Lyle and baby Teddy, and wish them every happiness as they begin this exciting new chapter together.
