Our new Cancer Care Centre in Mornington was officially opened on 3 February 2025 by Zoe McKenzie MP and Former Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Honourable Greg Hunt, improving access to comprehensive cancer care for Mornington Peninsula residents.
Offering a wide range of services all under one roof, The Bays Cancer Care Centre offers the latest in diagnostic, treatment, and support services, with an integrated approach focused on personalised care for patients and their families.
The opening ceremony marked a significant milestone in the ongoing commitment of The Bays to deliver high-quality healthcare services to the local community and was also attended by Bruce Ranken, board chair of Community Bank Mount Martha, who have funded the Wellness Centre within the new Bays Cancer Care Centre.
“Today marks the culmination of years of planning and dedication to enhancing cancer care in our region,” said Jade Phelan, CEO of The Bays Healthcare Group. “The Bays Cancer Care Centre is more than just a building—it’s a commitment to providing accessible, compassionate cancer treatment and support for our local community, right here at home.”
