The Intensive Care Service at The Bays provides specialised medical and surgical care in the areas of Intensive Care, High Dependency Care and Cardiac Care.
Opened in May 2019, our brand new Intensive Care Unit is a state-of-the-art, 6-bed facility and is the only one of its kind in Mornington.
We are able to provide 24/7 care for patients requiring continuous monitoring, intensive nursing care and advanced respiratory, cardiac and renal support therapies.
Each day our unit is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team working together. Our Intensivists, Fellows (hospital doctors) and admitting specialists provide medical care 24/7. Our intensive care nurses provide specialised care and allied health professionals and pharmacists are also involved.
