Dr Sam Kaldas is a Consultant Physician/ Internist with over 17 years of Clinical experience managing acute and general medical problems. He has a strong interest and focus in perioperative medicine care across all kinds of surgical procedures.
Sam completed his undergraduate medical degree at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1993 and completed a Master of Medicine in 1997. He also obtained USMLE certificate in 1995. He was practicing as a medical registrar in a major private teaching hospital after his internship before relocating to Australia in 1999.
It was in Melbourne that he further continued his Physician career at Austin Health and later continued advanced training in General Medicine/Acute Medicine at Western & St. Vincent Hospital. He was a Senior Perioperative Medical Registrar at both St. Vincent’s public and private hospitals obtaining a broad exposure for all kind of surgical subspecialties. He was also appointed as a Consultant Physician at Maroondah Hospital before commencing services at Peninsula Health and also working within the main Private Hospitals in the Peninsula.
He completed his basic Physician training at Austin Hospital and then advanced training in General Medicine/Acute Medicine at Western Hospital and St. Vincent’s Health. He obtained broad exposure in all surgical subspecialties as the senior Perioperative Medical Registrar at both St. Vincent’s public and private hospital, and spent 6 months as the stroke registrar at Monash Medical Centre in 2008. He has completed the Perioperative Monash University / Alfred Hospital short-course with further plans to continue postgraduate studies in perioperative medicine and echocardiography.
He is available for consultation and inpatient care at The Bays Hospital.
