Dr Ziqiu Ming

Dr Ziqiu Ming is an Australian-trained Consultant Physician and Geriatrician with a broad and distinguished background in internal medicine, and geriatric care. He holds public appointments at Peninsula Health, where he leads specialist clinics in lymphedema and chronic wound management, and consults privately at The Bays.

After completing his medical degree in China in 1994 and gaining experience in cardiology and intensive care, Dr Ming moved to Australia in 2003. He undertook five years of cardiovascular research at the Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute before completing his Physician and Advanced Geriatric Training at The Canberra Hospital, Peninsula Health, and Monash Health, earning his Fellowship (FRACP) in 2018.

Dr Ming’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of cognitive impairment and dementia, falls, frailty, incontinence, chronic wounds, pain, and cardiovascular disease in older adults. He is particularly committed to holistic, patient-centred care that addresses complex medical and psychosocial needs. Fluent in English and Mandarin, he values clear communication and collaborative relationships with patients and families to promote optimal ageing and wellbeing.
