Diagnosis and treatment of a painful knee. An orthopaedic update for General Practitioners
This seminar will provide GPs with an opportunity to discuss commonly presented knee conditions in general practice. The discussions will cover both non-operative and operative methods and pre-hob, rehab management. Patient assessment techniques and triggers to look out for to ensure accurate referral will also be covered.

- Apply relevant examination techniques on patients in order to diagnose knee injuries;
- Describe the surgical and non-surgical options available in the treatment of knee arthritis;
- Evaluate patients with knee pain that may benefit from non-operative treatment and those that require surgery;
- Describe the appropriate referral pathway for patients with degenerative conditions of the knee.
